About Us

We are Kurt and Margie Jennings, owners and designers of Kjen Wood LLC.  Married in 1985, we lived in Overland Park, KS for 20 years.  God called us to move to Oklahoma in 2007, and that is where the journey for Kjen Wood begins.

I became certified in primary Montessori education in 1997, and taught for 23 years.  While teaching at a Christian Montessori school in Tulsa, a new classroom was in need of Bible figures.  Art was always my passion, and I began drawing the Bible figures in Photoshop.  Once printed, they were glued onto wood.  The demand for the figures became too great to continue that method.

 

In 2020, we purchased our CNC machine, and the drawings became carvings.  Kurt learned woodworking from his father and has built many projects in the past 35 years. 

We are excited to offer these materials for your Bible story teaching, Montessori, homeschool, or ministry environments.  Many of our customers display them in their homes or workplaces as well. 

 

Our figure list continues to grow.  However, if you search our list and don’t see a particular story; no worries!  Simply email us and we will supply you with a quote.  Our prayer is that God’s Kingdom continues to grow through the use of these materials.
